You can get copies of the Donation Land Claim, they have them on microfilm at the Gen Forum in Portland. They are usually 6 to 10 pages or more long...at least the onea I have were. They give lots of good info sometimes.

  I may be jumping the gun, and rushing in too soon, but are there references to the Elias Robbins Oregon Donation Land Claim, and perhaps a mention of a sale of land to the Maddens in Polk County,  in your materials?

    I have just put online the Land Title Abstract for DLC #80, Fabritus Reynolds Smith, pioneer of 1846.  Below are some of the contents and names mentioned.  To view the documents go to http://www.oregonpioneers.com/marion/DLC_LandAbstracts.htm The "Love" Cory mentioned below actually died in California and her estate was filed in Marion County, Oregon.

    The patent, dated Jan 18, 1859, for Fabritus R. Smith was registered in Marion County Vol 15 page 306.  The following is an abstract of the transactions for Lot 11 in Smith Fruit Farms #2 within the original claim.

    1) Fabritus R. Smith Estate and Will (9-22) Includes names Adam Ohmart, Velleda W. Ohmart, Clara E. Smith, Hamlin F. Smith Hadessah E. Smith, Sarah E. Smith; Virgilia E. Smith

    3) Mary A. McIntire Estate (38-52) Includes names Alfred E. McIntire, Ethel McIntire, Nina McIntire,Roy W. McIntire, Guy C. Newgent, Hazle M. Newgent
    4) Emily Rosanna "Love" Cory Estate and Will (53-67) Includes names Percy G. Cory, W.W. Cory
    5) Susan and William Harrison Mills Mortgage, Taxes, Death Notice (72-89)
