First of all thanks to Carol for the phone number for the funeral home. I
haven't gotten any reply from Angelique yet, but if she is interested I will
certainly be glad to call the funeral home if she needs that info. I haven't
looked to see if he is listed online. I suspect being more recent burial she
may have all she needs on him.
As to the gold mine in Yamhill county; that's a bit strange. The lat and
long listed on that web site is in the middle of some farmer's field about 5
miles NNW of Sheridan.
I hope she gets back to me, this has my curious up now; we had a gold miner
at the head of the bay the first year or two we were in Alaska in the '60's,
but I seem to recall he was from California?? have to ask my bro. It's hell
when a sibling eleven years older than you has a better memory.
All I really remember was he had a german shepherd dog that thought it was a
retreiver; it and our lab would fight over sticks in the water if you only
threw one out at a time.
Thanks folks. If I don't hear directly from the person who posted this
query, I will probably just go put the sum of our findings on the page with
the quesry, in hopes some day she will find it.
