NEVA SPALDING TILL
Neva Susanna Spalding was born in Goldendale, Washington, April 29th,
1899 and passed away at her home in Pendleton, Oregon on November 21st,
1929, being 30 years, 6 months and 23 days of age.
She received her education in the Goldendale public schools, having been
graduated from high school in the class of 1917. The year following her
graduation she taught school but feeling that she could do better at
some other vocation she accepted a position with the State Bank of
Goldendale in September 1918, gradually being advanced to the position
of assistant cashier, which she held until her resignation in the spring
of 1928.
On June 20th, 1923, she was united in marriage to Wm. H. Till, a local
manager of the Pacific Power & Light Co. In the spring of 1929 she moved
to Pendleton, Oregon, where she made her home until her untimely death.
She was a very active member of the local Eastern Star Order, and an
ardent worker in the American Legion Auxiliary.
She leaves to mourn her untimely demise, a devoted husband and baby
daughter, Mary Lou, and step-daughter Winnie, and four brothers, Bruce
W., Martin H., Lynn A., all of Goldendale, Wash., and Gilman M., of
Tonasket, Wash. Also countless friends who will cherish her sweet memory
and miss her kind words and cheery smile.
Funeral services were held from the Chapman Chapel, Goldendale, Sunday,
Nov. 24th, being conducted by Rev. W.T. Jordan, of Maryhill, Wash., and
Evergreen Chapter, No. 1. Interment taking place in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Mabel Marie WILSON
Known by family and friends as "Mickie," died in her
daughter's home in Shoreline, WA, from lung cancer on
February 13, 2006. She was born Mabel Marie Carson in
Chewelah, Washington on October 29, 1925, daughter of
Wayne M. Carson and Edna "Marie" Ternahan. Mickie had
five children, six grandchildren and four great
grandchildren and is survived by daughters, Dawn
"Cheryl" Robison (Seattle, WA) and Rebecca A.
Gagliardi (Shoreline, WA); sons, Clifford O. Wilson
(Anchorage, AK) and Clay M. Wilson (Tukwila, WA), and
sister, Donna M. Carson (Issaquah, WA). She was
preceded in death by daughter, Constance M. Hurlbert
and husband, Bruce "Wayne" Spalding. She enjoyed
reading, scrabble, crossword puzzles, politics,
gardening. She loved being surrounded by children and
small pets. Though a resident of Edmonds, Washington
for the past 20 years, Mickie also lived for years in
The Dalles, Oregon, Vancouver and Goldendale
Washington. She was a devoted and dedicated mother and
friend to all who knew her. Memorial Services:
Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 12:00 noon,
Evergreen-Washelli, 11111 Aurora Avenue North,
Seattle, WA 98133 (206) 362-5200. Donations may be
made in her memory to: The American Lung Association
or The American Diabetes Association.
