Thanks for the warning on the "My Book" thing!  I just bought one, thinking
IT was the way to save all of my photos, out of danger of computer crash,
etc.  So how do you back it up?  Do you still have to keep all your photos
on your computer?  I thought the idea was to be able to keep all those
megabytes OUT OF the computer and make space.  Do I need to subscribe to
Carbonite.com or one of those back-up pay sites?

I have never had that problem, or else I just din't know it, but did have a
"sorry les, you can't post THAT one gremlin which seems to have gone away.

Speaking of wunnerful puter stuff; if you use Western Digital "My Book" as
your primary hard drive:  BACK IT UP! regularly. If it is making funny
clicking noises; back it up NOW. Unfortunately I didn't back up regular
nuff, and now am looking at redoing thke last 6 months of genealogy, and
will never again see the pics from the family reunion and my great great
neice playing around at Otter Rock last summer.

Sigh.

Hopefully, knock on wood, rap, rap, rap, this hasn't happened to me for
quite a while, but I used to get switched to "no mail" about every week,
so when I realized I wasn't getting my OR- roots mail, I go in and
switch it back -- it's be good for a few days or so and then kick me out
again.  That was a couple major list changes ago.  Hope it isn't your
turn, now.
