Interesting. My Markham was also from New York back in the 1800's. My
great grandmother married a rat named Goodrich in the early 1900's in
Oregon. I think his first name was Leonard if I remember correctly.

This is a very incomplete line documenting. If you need it, I will fill
things in.

A Delbert M Osborn has compiled Stephan's first wife Hannah HOGABOOM
decendants.

Where are your Markham's from originally?

My thoughts on this whole problem is "the not recognizing Stephanie's
work" ! If Stephanie had been consulted, she would have most likely
given permission. Without Stephanie Flora's name the validity comes
into question.

This is why it is so important to validate your work! We need to know
where you got your info, SS, newspaper, (They are only half correct)
birth records, death records, oral info and from whom, Web site, who
submitted it where did they get it. . . I could go on and on for the
people just getting into genealogy because I am only repeating what's
been said at virtually every seminar , every getting started
pamphlet/book and lecture

My problem was someone uploaded a bunch of Malheur County's Marriage
records and they are all wrong. Brothers are married to sisters Father's
to daughters and the names on the death records are misspelled. I wrote
to the person that submitted everything and couldn't get him to even
respond.

There is humor in this mess. Vale has erected a big granite listing of
everyone in the Pioneer Cemetery. My Uncle's name is wrong! His marker
is one of about a dozen that are still standing so there isn't any
excuse for his name being wrong!

Isn't genealogy fun? In 1998 I was leaving for the West Coast and so I
singed off of "NorCal". Just about 15 minutes before Stephanie sent an
email suggesting I stop and look through Vale, Oregon's cemetery.
Because of her suggestion, I was able to connect one of my lines. I had
thought there was an extra generation.

I will support her.

Goodrich, Markham and all the lines the women bring into the families!
