[or-roots] Walla Walla question

Thank you Darlene;

That branch of the family has always fascinated me; They are connected to my
maternal great Grand father's sister who married Timothy Lockwood who
apparently died in Washington, but I have never found out where for when.
There oldest dau has the oldest or next to the oldest, I always forget which
graveston in the Gardiner cemetery. some of the family have hinted that she
might have done herself in over an unrequited love or being jilted or some
such, but the most fascinating thing to me about these people who were close
cousin of my mother is that they first show up in Oregon in the 1880 Census
just a stones throw from where I grew up and where my father's family would
establish themselves in Oregon shortly after the turn of the century.

I see i have a typo oin the original, i list Sr becoming a widower in 1664
and I meant 1964.

I will certainly be curious to see if you can turn anything up, I used to be
in touch with a couple of cousins from that line that I have never met, but
have lost touch with them since then.

Les C

I've noted that the reponse to your request was somewhat underwhelming. I
live not far from Olympia. Right now I'm in Arizona, but am heading north
on Saturday. Next time I get close to the Washington state library, I'll
see if I can find anything for you. Won't be right away, but will let you
know what happens.
