[or-roots] sorting things

For those of you who may not be aware of it; if you are trying to organize a bunch of files in a folder or whatever the heck the current windows parlance is for file storage place, (I still use classic windows appearance) you can change the order of the files in the same manner Barbara was talking about FTM facts. Sometimes when I have saved a file to a known directory, but can't remember what I named if for example, I can click on the date modified heading and the most recently saved files will be at the top. You can right click the bar that the headings are in and whole slew of options come up. For example Linda and I have exchanged a variety of files on some of my lines and some things I have done to help her and if I wanted to sort out which ones she had sent me I could right click and pull up Author and then sort by that heading and all the files she had sent me would be in one place.

As long as the subject had come up I thought I would mention that.

Linda,
I have FTM 16. In mine, from the Facts tab, click on the Date heading to sort by date or click on the Type heading to sort the facts alphabetically.

Hope that helps.
