For Pat - I just found a few of the pictures I told you about of Gallahers headstones in Columbia Co., WA. I still am unsure exactly which cemetery this was. It was probably Smith Hollow or Covello Cemetery maybe Bundy Hollow cem?. I will email you the pictures, one has a name & date you can make out pretty good.

      Nancy

Thank you for this. I think some of the Gallahers went to Washington as well, but no idea which ones. This may help. If you do get a picture, I’d appreciate it.

The Columbia (and later Asotin) records are important also, sometimes it’s easy to forget the change in county lines!

I was at an very old cemetery many years ago in Columbia Co., WA. where my pioneer families went - lived & died, Walla Walla/Dayton, WA. & area. I remember seeing a very old grave & the name Gallaher on a headstone. I forgot the first name. It was at Smith Hollow or Covello Cemetery?. The cemetery was not taken care of it's up a a small hill where the farmer was plowing all around the hill & even getting into the graves - closer & closer. We walked up to the graves from the road & it was out in the middle of no where. I can't find that name at Smith Hollow & Covello online, darn. Next time I'm up that way I will go there & take more pictures.

*Don't forget to check out Columbia County for your family graves that went that direction. You never know where they ended up in the end. Nancy
