Auto Goes Over Grade Rancher Hurt
Dangerous Injuries suffered By John Davidson of Eigh Mile
John Davidson, aged about 59 years, was dangerouly injured this morningwhen
his automobil
rolled off the grade near the rock crusher at Eight Mile and went down an
incline about 70 feet.
Davidson was brought to the Dalles hospital in the ambulance, the first
accident victim too occupy
the car since wt was brought here.
Details of the accident are lacking except Mr. Davidson, in tring to pass
a motor truck parked at the rock crusher, lost control of his machine. A
companion, whose name was not learned, jumped out of the
machine and escaped injury.
Reports from the hospital this afternoon ere that the condition of Mr.
Davidson was very seriour`
He was a resident near Enderaby and left this morning for Dufur, with the
statement that he was going to
Wrentham.
In the opinion of Coroner Burget who questioned several witness of the
accident Mr. Davidson was
driving too fast to pass the truck safely.
Physicians were examing the injuries suffered by the accident victim this
afternoon. He is believed to
be suffering a crushed chest and head injuries

Expect Accident Victim to Recover
John Davidson, Eight Mile Rancher is Reported Convalescent
John Davidson seriously hurt in an automobile accident near Wreatham
yesterday morning, is much
better, it was reported at The Dalles hospital today. Although considered
perhaps fatally injured yesterday, there is now hope that he will recover.
Ray Darnielle, the man who was reported as also being in Davidson's car,
stated this morning that the driver had stopped hes machine near the rock
crusher and tat when he started, not knowingt the
position of the front wheels, which were pointed toward the bank, Mr
Davidson put on the power with
the result that instead of going straight, ahead the automobile leaped off
the grade.
Mr. Darnielle jumped out of the car and escaped uninjured. Mr Davidson
was picked from the wreck in an unconsciousness and was suffering so much
that his friends scent for the ambulance and medical aid.
An automobile truck in the roadway near the rock crusher caused
Mr.Davidson to stop his machine, it
was said.

but I do not see William or George.The family of Elijah B is profiled as he
is credited for finding the oregon caves. In the book "A History Of
Josephine County "Charles Thomas Davidson is profiled his son was William
Asbury Davidson is that the family you are seeking?
