Ingrid;
Our list mom is pretty easy to get along with; as long as we stick to
subjects that are at least somewhat related to history and or Genealogy and
have at least a faint connection to Oregon she lets us get away with it. I
and some of the others even sneak in "non-Oregon" questions now and then if
things are slow.
We were all just exchanging comments on the weather once a few years back
and a couple folks got offended, but it was "sort of" history. After all
today will be history tommorrow ( andsomeay les will learn hos to spell that
word).
Speaking of protocol and such it wouldn't hurt a bit if you gave us the name
of the person(s) of interest to you and some background on them. I would
guess that if we really got down and mapped it out between us listers here a
lions share of the folk who came to Oregon before 1900 are in some way
connected to one or more of us. So you might find Kin here.
Some of the folk on here are cousins; Glenn and I have a connection of the
one or two degrees of seperation order and Linda's Husband was a cousin of
my Dentist's Father. I recently discovered that her husband may be a cousin
of mine too, though I haven't gotten around to tracking it. I can't focus on
anything long enough to finish it.
Oh Well!

PS the first time I sent this I got bounced for being a spammer. It seems I
had been storing all of my deleted email on Verizon's server and that got me
blacklisted as a spam source. I don't fully understand it, but if you use
Outlook somewhere in the configuration is box about "remove from server when
deleted from "deleted items". I didn't have it checked and was storing all
my spam on Verizon's server and it got me black listed.
