Subject: [or-roots] The Oregon Trail

 

I love this discussion about the Oregon Trail.  So many of us have
ancestors that traveled that trail and I worry that the history of the
trail over time is becoming diminished.

 

My early Oregon ancestors - Cox, King, McCarty - all came to Oregon via
the trail.  They joined the many pioneers on their to Oregon in Missouri
and were among some of the earliest to arrive here.  I am very proud of
my pioneer stock and am eager to finally begin to put that history
together for our family.
