This is a 6 1/4 x 9 1/4 x 2 3/8 inches hardbound directory published by The
R.L. Polk & Company Publishers, Los Angeles, CA. 

Picture shows spine, which has shelf wear, and corners are bent and scuffed.
The binding and spine are somewhat loose, and there is reinforcement tape on
the first page and Index page, but all the pages are intact. The pages are
flat and clean, and in good shape, except for normal age and dirt
discoloring. To my knowledge there are no missing pages. There is no water
or mildew damage. This book is over 45 years old, but it is in good
condition. All data is very readable. 

This directory contains an Alphabetical Directory of  Business Concerns and
Private citizens; a directory of  Householders, Occupants of Office
Buildings and Other Business Places; Including a Complete Street and Avenue
Guide; and Much Information of a Miscellaneous Character; a Numerical
Telephone Directory; also the Yellow Pages with a Special Advertising
Section and a Complete Classified List.  

Wives names are listed with husbands, the name of the wife is shown in ( )
following the husband's name. In case of a widow by death, whenever possible
the name of the deceased husband is shown in ( ). The occupation and place
of employment is listed. Names in bold type denote advertisers. Ownership or
co-ownership of a firm is indicated by showing the individual's name in ( )
following the firm name. The head of the house is indicated by h preceding
the street address; other members of the family and roomers are indicated by
r preceding the street address.
