Thanks! Don’t worry about the pics. If ever you come across them, fine, but don’t spend time looking. This is really shirt-tail. Just wish one of Andrew Richardson’s kids would pop up on this list. Sigh.

Pat -
Yes, kind of near to Walla Walla, Starbuck & mostly Dayton area. Walla Walla to Dayton about 31 miles.
Smith Hollow Cemetery
Columbia County, Washington
Contributed by Pat Higley, Jun 5, 2000 [thehigs52 at comcast.net]. Total records = 5.
To reach the cemetery travel east on Highway 12 toward Spokane. One mile from Dayton City limits turn left onto Whetstone road keeping to the right to the Smith Hollow road. At the Smith Hollow road sign turn right onto gravel road and follow to the old Smith Hollow School. Just before you get there you will approach a "Y". Take the road to the left (sign says Starbuck). Across from the school on the right hand side of the road is the cemetery. The only markers left are located upon the hill by a large locust tree.
Smith Hollow cemetery at one time had many wooden markers which were all destroyed by fire.
These records were transcribed by Pat Higley in 1999 from readings done by the Columbia County Genealogical Society in 1978, used by permission. CCGS, Rte #1, Box 43, Dayton WA 99328

Smith Hollow Cem. about one mile from Dayton
Bundy Hollow Cem. is about 9 miles from the stop light in the center of Dayton.
It was at one of these cemeteries & at looking at the pictures online today of these cemeteries I believe Gallaher was at Smith Hollow Cem. Sorry I can't remember. I even have pictures of these graves but they are packed away some where. The reason I took a picture of Gallaher is I thought it was my brother in laws relative, but his name was Gallager. I have no idea where to look for the pictures right off, darn. When I get time I will look for them in my many boxes of pictures & research. I don't know about where Lower Dry creek is but I found this >> DRY CREEK. Lowden, Washington, It's between the Tri Cities & Walla Walla. These places mentioned are all in the surrounding area of Walla Walla, Dayton & etc. I do know for sure it was Gallaher on the 2 headstones want to say a husband & wife, they were very old headstones 1800s. really sorry I can't be of more help right now. Just did a bit of checking here. Mary Jane (Gallaher) Richardson’s brothers Morgan and Justin Gallaher, and Justin’s daughter Cordelia were living in Frenchtown, Lower Dry Creek, and Ritz Precincts, Walla Walla, Washington, in 1900.
Is this near the area you are speaking of?

I was at an very old cemetery many years ago in Columbia Co., WA. where my pioneer families went - lived & died, Walla Walla/Dayton, WA. & area. I remember seeing a very old grave & the name Gallaher on a headstone. I forgot the first name. It was at Smith Hollow or Covello Cemetery?. The cemetery was not taken care of it's up a a small hill where the farmer was plowing all around the hill & even getting into the graves - closer & closer. We walked up to the graves from the road & it was out in the middle of no where. I can't find that name at Smith Hollow & Covello online, darn. Next time I'm up that way I will go there & take more pictures.
*Don't forget to check out Columbia County for your family graves that went that direction. You never know where they ended up in the end. Nancy
