Nancy – Thank you for this. Here is the challenge.
Two Andrew Jackson Richardsons.
One from Illinois, settled near Lebanon, married a Crabtree.
One from Indiana, settled farther south, married a Gallagher.
The first is the one (I think) about whom all these are written.
However, just to make sure, I’m going by Albany next week to check the books themselves. Except that Andrew Jackson was a fairly popular name after the War of 1812, I would suspect that the families are related. However, I haven’t traced the Illinois family back through Pulaski County, Kentucky to Grayson County, Virginia. Who knows.
I’m also going to drop off “my” contribution to the cause – a 70 page monograph, with pictures, about the three Indiana Richardson siblings, Cynthia Ann (who married George B W Parks), Andrew Jackson (who married Mary Jane Gallaher), and Caleb Whitcomb (who married Ruth Dick).
At least future researchers will have as much information as I have.
Pat
