[or-roots] is anything happening out there?

Well, I have kind of backed off the Oregon research. I seem to be at a dead end with my maternal grandmother’s grandfather. Someone gave me his death date but now can’t remember where she got it and she doesn’t know where he died or where he might be buried. I suspect that his second wife bumped him off and buried him in the back yard but can’t prove it of course.

So I started working on my father’s side of the family back, way way back in New York. That is not easy either. But you have to just keep plugging away at it and once in a while you find something good.

Later,

Dale

Dale,

Me too! Even if it's just everyone checking in to say HI. I just started winter layoff and will be poking around to see if anything fresh has hit the web during the summer. I took a look at Ancestry's free Military access during Veteran's Day but less came up there than I already had. I've established contact with some second cousins in Omaha and Council Bluffs which will help flesh the family on my Father's mother's side which have been more elusive than his paternal side. Patience seems to be the key for me.

Hope all goes well !

Ingrid
