That was close, but not what I had in mind, I remembered the name tonight;KNIGHTS OF THE WHIP: Stagecoach Days in Oregonby Gary and Gloria Meier
it is available at Amazon and also;http://www.biblio.com/gary-and-gloria-meier/knights-of-the-whip-stagecoach/ISBN-9780961937904
the latter link shows the cover. I didn't find anyone from my family file in the index so passed it up. It lists for $7 and up used, $16 new and $28 "collectible" whateveer that means at Amazon so I guess Donna's price isn't that great.

Stage Coaches and Stations,
Eastern Oregon 1850-1920 by Joseph F. Macdonald.  You can purchase the
book through Western Places, POB 2093, Lake Grove, Oregon 97035.  Publisher
is Western Places,.  Alan Patera is the owner.  One great
historian.  His e-mail is patera at teleport.com
website"  www.westernplaces.net

In the near future there will be a
publication of Western Oregon stations.

Cost of the above book was $30.00
plus $3.00 shipping

A great book.  Mr. Macdonald did
a lot or good research and 172 page book includes a very comprehensive
index.  Well done publication.
