I believe, in the way of ferrys, the crossing is the Wheatland Ferry,
the boat used for the crossing is the Daniel Matheny #X.
Like the Canby Ferry, where the current boat is the M.J. Lee II. The
boat was named for Millard Jerome Lee, first child born (1872) in the
1870-platted town of Canby. I do not know the name of the first boat,
which started service in 1914, and was destroyed when washed over the
Willamette Falls in 1946. The first M.J. Lee was put into service in 1953.
