I'm not familiar with any of the names on this list, but the one for Kitsop county, W caught my eye - that would be KidsAp county, Washington

Because the photos mentioned below were purchased in Southern Oregon, I
thought I'd forward the information to this list.

Does any of it ring a bell? If so, respond to the fenenga address below.

photos are carte de visites and standard and range in date from
circa 1870 to 1940. it isn't a complete set and I don't know if it's
all the same family, though it appears to be.

purchased in So. Oregon but not sure if it has any connection to
Oregon

    places and names include;

    Solothurn-of a possibly mixed/AmerIndian/Scottish woman in western
dress-one as a young woman, one as an old woman, wearing the same
dress, an outer half skirt added later. could be different women, but
I think they're the same

Louisville, Kentucky-an older man with a beard in dress jacket and
vest,

Louisville, Kentucky-a young girl with a dimple in her chin wearing
what appears to me to be a white strolling dress. definitely not a
frock, and too old for her.

unmarked, a young man, early 20's? in a cordoroy jacket and plaid
wide tie

St. Charles, MO, a youngish bearded man, 24-36 years of age, I'd
guess. dark hair, light eyes

a more recent photo, 2 women holding a large tin bucket with 2
children in the bucket, on the back it says "This is myself and Mrs.
Fetting, the people that lived upstairs".

a more recent photo, old man with a toddler on his lap, on the back
"Edward Probst and granddaughter Mabel 1920"

baby in a stroller "Mabel Wenger at the age of 8 months 1919"

a photo of a young woman and a 4-5 year old daughter. on the back in
ink, somthing in gothic German. as best as I can read it; Fur
_ifusnper Lirbuli. oomlats over the u in Fur and the first i? in
Lirbuli. the _ may be a D. looks like our n, but big, the f in
_ifusnper is assumed, it looks like the second s in pre-1870
writting, with large loops above and below the writing line. the e
towards the end of _ifusnper looks like the early English c. so I
could have miss-read it.

a baby announcement was tucked behind a photo! J. M. Simonitsch, Jr.
is the baby's name. the person could still be alive so I will leave
the date and time and weight out of this note.

candid picture of man and wife, outdoors photo made to appear in
doors. cake on table & pillows at their feet. no name but "37th
wedding anniversary, Sep 20, 1923"

picture of a house from abt 1910, "The Molly Ranch Kitsop County W?
m? is it Wisconsin?

woman in glasses and circa 1910-1920 white dress in front
of...hybiscus?

woman w/ bouquet of flowers, says she received them graduation
night.

woman holding large card, says it's her diploma

guy with a dog-Heinie? and Tricksie-Tricksie is the dog

girl with dog-Josephine and...the dog's name is now racist, though
at the time the photo was taken it was considered perfectly ok. I
refuse to make it public as I find it offensive. we are all one.

they had a goat named "Nanny"

picture of a woman standing in front of a house "Ma"

man, "Henry". he looks a lot like Heinie

    man "Heinie"

    woman-mentions Sun-kist-vale

older photo, thin paper, woman. too much light from the side, washed
out, 2 copies of this photo, no info.

    a few more photos, house, kids in tub, etc. only one has any info.;

"Linns & Norbert Fetting in the tub"

I wonder if the girdle is cultural. all the women are wearing the
same type, white scallopy catches with a cord laced back and forth,
the way shoes lace.

from Ancestry I find Jacob M. and Margurete Simonitsch with their
children, Jacob M., Jr., and 3 other children. Moorehead, Minnesota

I find Wenger, Probst and Fetting living near one another in Alma,
Wisconsin.

I'm busier than a one armed paper hanger with a cold at the moment
(no, I don't have a cold, but it does paint a picture) but will scan
these photos some time later this month and notify the list of it.
just hope I can get them onto deadfred when I do, I've always had
difficulties-any other free photo posting sites anyone know of?

as far as I can tell the Fettings are neighbors and friends, not
related.

ok, I've spent twice the time expected on this, must rush off in 20
direction....  BODY { font-family:Arial, Helvetica,
