Hi, I have to agree with the confusion issue. I found my grandmother's father by really looking at the handwritten census. The typed version had her listed as "Bennie". Her name was Bessie. BTW, I'm working on Keady, Thomas, Belieu, Cauthorn and Patton, to name a few on my mother's side.

I agree 100%.
As in miss interpreted hearing and records, yes I might think the same.
Had not the Julia - Walter and marriage date been clues I would have passed
on that one too.
I will run a ( find) in search for certain facts and see how many Matheny
come up.
