Death certificates are available starting in 1903.  There is a 50 year privacy rule (unless you are a close relative) so certificates through 1960 are available now.  1961 certficates will be available in January.  In the early days, not all deaths got reported so there is not always a certificate.  Check the Oregon Death Index to determine if there is a certificate or not.

I have managed to lose my link to the State Archives for looking up birth, death, marriage, etc. records.  Can anyone help me out with this.  I am trying to find the actual death date of an Elizabeth Haworth Dillon who was buried in the Friends Cemetery in Yamhill County Oregon.  The findagrave just gives 1940 and I would like to have the actual death date.
