You are so right Linda and I apologize to the family of the Author if I seemed to be implying otherwise, I was merely amused that I who consider myself some what of a student of Oregon history didn't see but one name in the list I had heard of.
I am sure this book was never meant for public consumption and if I had known someone on the list would have a connection to it I would have been more circumspect about offering to share it. I can only hope to be forgiven for my sins.
I know about titling things; I stole my suggested title for my "life story"  from Bill Cosby.

This book, "Pioneers of Oregon" was never meant to be a complete study of
all pioneers of Oregon. This is the Oregon Pioneers of just one family -
descendants of Daniel Richardson and allied families. Each of us with Oregon
ancestors could write a book about our "Pioneers of Oregon" -- and each would be
different.

From experience I know that it is very hard to title a book so the title is
meaningful to the author and family, and is meaningful to a greater audience,
and how will it be indexed and shelved in a library. When you begin to think of
all those aspects, writing the book is the easy part.

Just my two cents . . .  .
