[or-roots] Walter Matney

Hi, Dan --

"Antonice" Cooper was really Artemicia Cooper, daughter of Lewis/Louis L
Cooper & Mary "Polly" Lindsay. She is buried in the IOOF cemetery in Grants
Pass. She was the second wife of Jesse Roland Jennings, died 14 May 1903,
also buried in the IOOF cemetery. Their daughter, Alwinda M Jennings,
married my granduncle, William Ernest Everton, 24 Oct 1900 in Grants Pass,
Josephine Co., OR.

I have done practically no research into the siblings of Artemicia, but do
have notes that Habrin Milles Cooper & wife Ann Jane Stuart are buried in
Hilltop Cemetery in Polk County, but do not have town identified.

I did not find a Julia Matney or Rowe listed on the Oregon State death index
(in 1992). If this Julia was the sister of Artemicia, she was born in 1832,
and would certainly have passed on long before 1992.

Darlene
