[or-roots] Another arbitration question

Hi David,
What if something is marked out and there is what looks like a "7" above it in pencil. For instance, I have seen M for married crossed through and that "7" mark above it. It seemed clear to me that the man was likely a W but since it wasn't written over, I stuck with the M. Was that correct?
