I suppose it really all depends on where one is researching -- if they 
have the material available that you need -- and if you have access -- 
folks like Dan M who really is "out in the sticks" isn't going to just 
pop in to the local library or even online (barely - the TV advert for 
the gas powered appliances strikes home), and the local library out 
there won't have the Oregonian on micro film, whereas in the Portland 
metro area, in addition to online availability, there are several 
libraries with full Oregonian archives on film.
