I had no luck finding your answer, perhaps out of state? The index county codes are all numerical;

I couldn't find any details on the death index anywhere, I would suggest rattling Ancestry's cage on the subject.

I was searching for a death certificate last evening in the most recent list on line and found the name/person I was seeking, however there is no county identified and the letters "OS" appear - - (I'm sure that is a code for something other than "odd situation"  "outer space", etc.)  but I had hoped that I could narrow my search for the document to a county rather than spending the day going through 36 boxes...!?
