Thank you  for the suggestion to call the library.    Thank you everyone for your assistance.   I enjoy being on this roots list but rarely look up anything until now.   Thank you David and Paulette.

That's a good solution, David S., thanks for that, but I sure agree with Patricia on concerns about giving ancestry.com her credit card for a so-called "free" short term access; I feel the same way. Patricia, have you checked into using ancestry.com at your local library? I use it there and get access to census records. I realize it can't be used at home, so that may be inconvenient. Also, you might check on your at-home website for your library - I can use HeritageQuest via my library patron # at home.
