Glen,
Lakeview has a less expensive motel that is quiet called Lakeview Lodge. The hosts are Bob and Barbara Kings and the phone number is 541-947-2181. They are transplants from Wales. Delightful people.
Klamath Falls has several nice resting places. There is the Favell Museum as well as a county museum. I have not been in the Favell museum in years and never been in the Klamath Museum that is now housed in the old Armory. Fort Klamath has spruced up the old Fort site and there cemetery there is quite interesting.
SDOP will find either area a great historical find. Diane

I forgot to say who I was when I asked for your relatives name
that is buried in Paisley, as I said a good share of the Paisley
cemetery and the Summer lake cemetery are relatives of Diane
and I, (We are distantly related)
Diane, I forgot to ask you are there some good motels in LakeView
SDOP is alway looking for Historic places to meet and there is a lot
of History in your area but would be a long way for some of the
Board to travel, we are looking at the Possiblity of a Board meeting
in Kfalls, we would also want a historic place to meet.

I go read the old county newspapers when in Lakeview
Lakeview, the county seat is also not "large" -- seems it has a population of around 3,000. One goes to Bend or Klamath Falls for anything more than just "groceries, nails, and gunpowder" -- Bend or Medford for serious medical attention. If one is suddenly desperate, and know who to ask though, folks will find what one needs in their cupboards, woodshed, or pump house -- but then you have to reciprocate likewise.
Basically, everyone in Paisley knows everyone else personally.
The post office will deliver mail to my cousin Jessie, simply addressed to "Jessie, Paisley, OR".
And that is about the size of it. Another reason this Frank Elder is such a mystery ...
