I am a member and have been in the library a number of times. 

I have a Oregon California Trails Convention Planning meeting 

that day and I have to attend as I am on the publicity committee 

for the convention, I have also been recently elected to the board 

of the Sons and Daughters of Oregon Pioneers, so all that and 

other volunteer work, keep me real busy and I need to know of 

events well in advance. 

Incidently besides the OCTA Flyer. I sent we have recently learned 

that the Association of Gravestone Studies National Convention 

will be at Willamette university, in June of Next Year, this is only 

the third time in its existance that it has been on the West Coast. 

both conventions will have more info available in the near future

Glen; sorry you won't be able to come. As you are going to miss the Anniversary you are always welcome to come to our Library for a visit. Check out the hours at www.oregongenealogicalsociety.org . It is a great library with books and periodicals from all over the world. Y'all are welcome to come and visit and do some research while you are there.

50 th Anniversary Celebration – 29 September 2012 

Please join us on Saturday, September 29 th and help us celebrate our first 50 years from 10 am to 2:30 pm in the EWEB Training Room at 500 East Fourth Avenue, Eugene, OR. Bring your children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors, and coworkers and maybe they will catch the genealogy bug. Invite former members to come reminisce. 

We will have display tables with our society scrapbooks, cemetery records, exa mples of research, Pioneer & Early Settler Certificates, unidentified photos, and more. 

There will be three mini-classes offered in the morning and afternoon on Starting Your Family Tree, Which War Was My Ancestor In, and Free Online Sources for Genealogists . The first session will begin at 10:30 am. 

There will be a special presentation at 11:30 am followed by cake, coffee and lemonade. 

Everyone attending may enter the drawing for door prizes. We will be giving   away a seminar admission, 2013 membership, a genealogy book, 161+ Forms CD, and gift certificates for two hours of research, a two-hour class, and one-hour “Start Your Family Tree” personal consultation. 

Come and visit with us and help us celebrate 50 years of genealogy research.
