I am a Volunteer librarian at the Clark County Genealogical Society (CCGS) 
usually on Tuesdays, my father was adopted by the Griffon Jones family back in 
1883, I am his youngest son by his third wife. 
My Great Grandfather and his partner founded the Diamond Ranch in Harney County, 
I have a family history going back beyond 1829 here in the Northwest. 
and My Mother's family came here in 1905 from Iowa and the Dakota's.

Glen, I was born and raised in Prineville, but now live in Vancouver, Wa. Even more, my maiden name was Jones, however, I'm a first generation Prinevillite as my parents came from Iowa in the early 50's. I love doing genealogy & historical research in Crook, Deschutes & Jefferson, as those are my old stomping grounds. 

I had discovered those Deschutes records about 2 weeks ago, looking for something else and I started downloading pages to convert to a spreadsheet. I'll work on them as I have time...

I have been working on indexing the Deschutes Marriages 1916-1975 for a couple weeks, I should have an index of A's done soon... It is a lot of work, but very rewarding.  I'm also working on getting images of death certificates for Crook Co onto the CrookGenWeb site, and have a few years already there.  

It just all takes time...
