  Denise,
Michael Troutman Simmons' in-laws, Talitha (Ramey) and David Kindred, are my kid's 6G grandparents. I believe that they are also mentioned in the Parrish diary as are Sarah (Kindred) and William Bowman, my kid's 5G grandparents.

  Dan,

I’m related to quite a number of folks in the Rev Parrish 1844 Diary. Cornelius Gilliam is my direct ancestor, leader of the wagon train. Many of his siblings & extended family [William & Sarah Shaw, Nelson, Nichols, Belieu, Brown, Crawford, Eads, Gage, Grant, etc] are on that same wagon train. There are a couple other publications that help sort out families who traveled that year.

1844 is a year of especial interest to me. Michael Troutman Simmons is also a relative of mine, tho not thru Gilliam, who was on that same wagon train. Always enjoy collaborating with other relatives.

Any one related directly, this is a good read.

I bought a copy incase I might increase my Oregon trail info.
