[or-roots] Census oddities

My husband's brother's wife's parents lived in Salome for a time (follow
that?), and we used to visit there in our motorhome. Do not recall any
ghosts, but do not recall there was much of anything else, either. A
bank that was open a half day twice a week, and a junk dealer with
business right on the highway. Most the place had to offer was Jeep
trips out into the desert to visit the old mines.
