So why can't people find and fund our own Pioneer library?
I thought we had something going on this topic once before?
I know there are many buildings and even people with closed business's with unused places, why can't those things be moved and saved here?

The Oregon State Library House's some Oregon California Trails Diaries in case you are
unaware the State wants to close or severally restrict access to the Library, if it closes
the Oregon trail diaries will leave the State and much other information will become
unavailable to researchers, the bill was supposed to have been introduced last session
but was not and is in a workshop right now with no planned public hearings.

    Dan,

I’m related to quite a number of folks in the Rev Parrish 1844 Diary. Cornelius Gilliam is my direct ancestor, leader of the wagon train. Many of his siblings & extended family [William & Sarah Shaw, Nelson, Nichols, Belieu, Brown, Crawford, Eads, Gage, Grant, etc] are on that same wagon train. There are a couple other publications that help sort out families who traveled that year.

1844 is a year of especial interest to me. Michael Troutman Simmons is also a relative of mine, tho not thru Gilliam, who was on that same wagon train. Always enjoy collaborating with other relatives.

Any one related directly, this is a good read.
