Thats so cool.
And you did but one of the Webb books?
Or do you have an original?
I like your sig.
I am ( not ) professional, but I been around since 1998.
I ask Layne my very first embarrassing questions in person about how to get started in the archive. I made a lot of internet friends, lots of others as in acquaintances. Its a nice fun thing to do research. And meet others doing the same. And even some, are related ;)
I am just starting a new domain, Northern American Continent History
Its for all things history, from the genealogy to archeology, maybe in part a version of finding and listing ver good links to folks like you.
I also offer to host a website or domains as part of this effort, free. We have a few bells and a few whistles, I am learning more about things all the time. One was people like to have  asite and cant do it even simply, I will offer to paste what I get from emails.
I like to keep my pages simple. But I am getting there, slow. One page is called d-matney/OregoninView.com I started it for my Oregon stuff, not to out do any one else, but to link those together in once place also offer to others, its going to be moved to the other domain soon, I was looking for some people to join up to that or my us gen web pages on their.
Other question, I was going to ask, have you been to parish Gap?
Also do you know a Rick Parrish in the Stayton area?

Dan,

I’m related to quite a number of folks in the Rev Parrish 1844 Diary.  Cornelius Gilliam is my direct ancestor, leader of the wagon train.  Many of his siblings & extended family [William & Sarah Shaw, Nelson, Nichols, Belieu, Brown, Crawford, Eads, Gage, Grant, etc] are on that same wagon train.  There are a couple other publications that help sort out families who traveled that year.

1844 is a year of especial interest to me.  Michael Troutman Simmons is also a relative of mine, tho not thru Gilliam, who was on that same wagon train.  Always enjoy collaborating with other relatives.

My genealogy recorded in The Master Genealogist with the webpage created using John Cardinal's Second Site
