Les...I did the Index thing......you still have to look page by page as I was not able to get the site to search.  Maybe I am doing something wrong!!!!  Diane

I would like to point out to those who might be intimidated by the lead in on the Deschutes county link that you don't actually have to "browse" through all 100 plus thousand images to find your record of interest. Off hand I can't think of anyone I would find there so probably will not attempt to learn  exactly how to navigate that data base but I see that under the link Vital Records it does list indexes. While those can be of varying ease of use depending on the structure of the records it certainly beats paging through a whole county, something I have actually done with some censuses.
