[or-roots] Sharing

I've had a Full Genomic Sequence for mtDNA with Family Tree DNA, as well as autosomal testing for myself and my husband. My autosomal testing proved a connection that had been disputed in the family. And I've been able to find a few actual relatives who are distant cousins so there has been some trading of information, but not a lot.
My husband has had his Y-DNA tested for a TATUM Family Group to help sort several male Tatum lines back to the earliest immigrant in Jamestown, Virginia. That has been really interesting and informative.
That's all been interesting, but some of the best family info I've been able to obtain has been via ancestry and rootwebs et al message boards, along with findagrave.com, family search and state archives and libraries. Missouri State Archives are a goldmine of information, especially in their online death certificates. Loaded with some of the online info, I've gone to our wonderful Oregon State Archives, and been able to prove quite a bit of information.

It has been more confusing than anything.Sally in southern Oregon

O.K. I have a question for the group.  Have any of you done a DNA test?  I have had mine, my brother's, my sister's and two cousins done.  It is fascinating and has been a huge help to me in knocking down some brick walls.Dale in Southern California On Thu, Sep 17, 2015 at 4:39 PM, Dan M <mygen2 at d-matney.com> wrote:
