Yes, you should do the test and as many of your close relatives that you
could talk into also should do it and no the results will not be the same
exactly. You will show up as his sister and he as your brother but you can
have very different matches and therefor increase the number of matches
that you both have. Some of them will be the same as your brother but not
all.
It is very useful and helpful in doing genealogy and yes, you still have to
verify everything you find because even though you may show up as a very
close match to someone, say 3rd cousin. It doesn't mean that his
genealogy is accurate it just means that he is really a 3rd cousin to you
and you will still have to verify his information but DNA does not lie or
make mistakes, only people do that.

P.S. I have an ulterior motive for wanting people on this list to do the
test. Most of my mother's ancestors were all early Oregonians and I'm sure
there will be people on this list that will match with me.
