There is a book published in 1947 by the Oregon Historical Society -- "The Doctor in Oregon". There is a brief paragraph about Dr. Gilmore in that book.

(in 1870 they are also in Colusa, with Clifford, the youngest sibling, age 1, born in Canada, supporting the immigration date of 1869)
 
William Cunningham Gilmour, age 22, physician, born Canada, Physician, home Leesville, naturalized "by his father's naturalization" was registered to vote in 1882 in Colusa.
