The Pacific Coast Directory from 1867 might be helpful.  This would provide a listing but not anything about their background and training.

Dang!  I immediately went to the Lane County page to see if there was any records of early physician licenses but find that early to them means 1889, much too late to help me with a man who was listed as a physician in the 1850s 1860s.  But it was a good try, so thank you.

A good source for information on early physicians is sometimes preserved at the county level.  Registers were kept of a variety of medical practitioners.  You might try looking at the Oregon County Historical Records Guide
