[or-roots] information about doctors in early Oregon

Oh thanks, Linda!  Is that publication available somewhere, either on line or book published?

And while we are talking about this couple I may as well hang out the dirty linen.  That daughter, Sarah Josephine was born in August of 1853, a few months before the marriage.  I presume there was a divorce in progress but not finalized in time.  :-)  Do you know where I can find the divorce records. His first wife was presumably named Lucinda but I don't know her maiden name nor where and when the marriage was solemnized.

I checked the Lane County holdings and they don't seem to have divorce records earlier than 1855.  My bad luck, but perhaps there is somewhere else I should look?
