 I am sure that is the same Sherrett family, I will have to do some digging to figure out when they moved to Smith River.

Notes for ALMIRA JANE JOHNSON:  I read 1870 Sherretts John OR as Almina, but1860 Sherretts John OR looks        morelike Elmira to me and is more legible. Les C. 2005

I find her listed as EmilyAnn in the 1860 census, but after that she is always Emma E. and I am unable tofind anything on her death but what I list which is from Archives.com with nosource. LC 2023

She was born 27 July 1862 in Umatilla,Umatilla Co., Oregon27,28,29, and died 11 June 1936 inPortland, Multnomah Co., Oregon30,31,32.

Notes for EMMA LOUISE TUCKER:   There are a couple of questions here, the1880 Census give middle initial L  (Louise?)and birth place could be subject to question, though they spent some time inOregon as that is where       the motherdied. Les C 2003 Subsequent census files all show her birth as in Oregon. 2004

1910 Census shows mother of3 children, none living. [see "Beth's Notes"] Les C. 2008

1900 Census shows mother ofnone, none living? From Del Norte information I have four names for children,but no other information. I need to research the local paper at U of O.  I am going to go with Louise for middle namebased on a Family Search genealogy. Les C. 2012

I have yet to look intodetails on the children and there is some disagreement on who and how many. butI am confident I will be able to get some of it sorted out. One puzzle is Finda Grave lists her date of death as the twelfth while posting her death certificatewhich lists the eleventh. I may have been premature in my assuming I couldlearn more about the children. See above. LC 2021
