I have in my possession a scrapbook collected by
Effie Ann Chapman Shrum, the wife of Stephen J. Shrum of Glide, Oregon, which
has obituaries, marriage notices, and considerable literary materials--poems
essays etc. Most of these date from 1883 through 1891 and include people she
knew or knew of. She had attended Umpqua Academy at Wilbur and some of the
reason for inclusion was no doubt that they had met in some way. The
Shrum, Mathews, Chapman, Singleton, Wimberly and Atterbury families--all located
east of Roseburg in eithe the Glide or Oak Creek area are listed.
Interested individuals may contact me at <A

copy of the requested item via e-mail to those persons.
