Anyone have any advice for me about how to locate
information about John D. and Lydia Cox, or their children James Bonley,
William, or Jane Wilmirth Cox? They came on the 1843 Migration on the
Oregon Trail to Wasco County, when it was one huge enormous county that included
parts of Washington and Idaho. They left againin the mid-1860's to
Colorado, so they were there about twenty years.

It seems there should be some record somewhere
about these early pioneers, although no one died there, I don't think anyone was
born there (except perhaps some grandchildren of John and Lydia), and James did
not marry until he came to CO. Quereies of Oregon historical sites have
brought nothing.
