<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Happy Holidays, Rooters! I'm searching
for someone from the <STRONG>FREYDIG </STRONG>family. A friend found
an old tin box at a second-hand store containing Freydig family documents
(including marriage, birth and naturalization documents), photos, letters, etc.
etc. Because he couldn't stand to see it just sitting there, he bought it
and we are now trying to locate descendants of the family so we can
re-unite these wonderful old things with a family member.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>So far, we have been able to find out a bit
about the family. Jakob Karl Freydig and Bertha Constance Escher Freydig
had a son, Paul E. and daughters Virginia, Francis H., Helen and
Marguerite. They came to Oregon from Platte County, NE sometime
between 1906 and 1910, when they lived in Sutherlin.
By 1920 they were living in Portland. Jakob died there in 1924, and
Bertha in 1949.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Paul (b. 4 Apr 1893) married Eleanor
Edmonds. They lived in Seattle and San Diego; they had daughters
Barbara and Constance. Paul was a Lt. Colonel in the Air
Force.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Virginia never married, was b. abt. 1897 and d. 12
May 1959 in Portland.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Marguerite (b. Feb 1898) married Homer P.
<STRONG>RUSH</STRONG>, a physician. They lived and died in Portland, he d.
18 Sep 1970 and she d. 5 Jan 1974. They had son, Homer P. Jr. and one
other child who must still be alive, but we cannot locate either.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Frances H. was b. 9 Jun 1904 and d. 20 Jan 1988 in
Portland; she was single.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Helen married Gordon A. <STRONG>REMMEL</STRONG>
after 1930, and they both died in Los Angeles, she on 29 Apr 1994 and he on
26 Dec 1974. We haven't found if they had children.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>If anyone out there can help us find descendants of
any of these folks, we would be so grateful! </FONT></DIV>
