<STRONG>C. FREYDIG</STRONG>. I called the number and</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>found it disconnected.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>This surname is so unusual that I'll bet if you find a
<EM>living</EM> person with that name.... they</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>will be related. I did a search for that name on
WorldConnect Project and came up with</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>only one name </FONT><FONT
face="Times New Roman">Magdalena FREYDIG </FONT><FONT face=Arial>(probably in
Switzerland), in the late 1700's. This</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>reminds me of my RULAFORD's. There is only one
person still living with this name, and</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>she married a RULAFORD, but had no children. The
only living RULAFORD is female,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>and she married a KLINE. So there will be no more
RULAFORD's. (For the record: that</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>surname name is an alias that my maternal grandfather
assumed in 1875.) <STRONG>:-)</STRONG></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I hope you can find a descendant who will want these items
your friend found. In my family</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>a box of photo's was found in the attic of the house of an
uncle after he died. They were</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>passed to a local historical society that just happened be
in contact with a cousin of mine.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I now have custody of those photo's! Here is one of
them.</FONT></DIV>

for someone from the <STRONG>FREYDIG </STRONG>family. A
friend found an old tin box at a second-hand store containing
Freydig family documents (including marriage, birth and naturalization
documents), photos, letters, etc. etc. Because he couldn't stand to see
it just sitting there, he bought it and we are now trying to
locate descendants of the family so we can re-unite these wonderful old
things with a family member.</FONT></DIV>
