on the Columbia. </FONT></EM></DIV>

<DIV><EM><FONT face=Verdana>The Mantle of Elias, on page 261, reports the
marriage: M. 13--John McKay and Josephte Boucher. November 1,
1838. Mr. John McKay, postmaster of the Fort of the Lakes, on the Columbia
River, in service to the H. B. Company, Protestant, and Josephte Boucher, Roman
Catholic. Witnesses Frederic Mimi, Etienne Fortier, Andre Chalifou.
Legitimating the following children: Isabelle, born January 3, 1837;
