I recently used the US GenWeb Project for Oregon, and came up with a slight problem..I don't like to call it that..but..may be something I am doing wrong..?

I feel the site is very good, and really like it, in fact, it is one of the best in the nation, but I think I may be using the site wrong, and was wondering if any experienced Native sons and daughters could help this fifth generation Californian, use the very excellent Oregon US GenWeb Project search function?

Okay, I had this problem..I wanted to look up Captain John Henry Brown in Oregon,1840-50. Well, what happened was I got so many Browns I did not know where to start? Is there a way to get the wording right so that the amount of Browns that come up are more limited? Is there something, I might do to make this a little easier?

Any advice appreciated,
