<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am researching the above Oregon pioneer
ancestors. In 1878, the Harrison Sloop family (Harrison, wife Sarah and 8
children) joined a wagon train headed for Oregon. It started with
nine wagons from Coon Grove, Iowa on May 7, 1878. By June 11, 1878 the
wagon train had grown to include twenty teams. They arrived in Knappa, OR.
the first part of September 1878. Harrison & Sarah were school
teachers. He served as Clatsop County School Superintendant for several
years.</FONT></DIV>
