<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I have recently come across a person that I can't
figure out where else to look. My grandfather Calvin Russell Powell b. Nov 20,
1873 shows up on the 1910 Census in Gilliam County, Lone Rock Precinct married
to a Carrie F. b. about 1892 who has a son named Frank J. Edwards who was born
about 1896 in Oregon. Frank's father was born in Oregon. Carrie was born in
Oregon and her father was born in Germany and her mother was born in
Switzerland. Carrie had six children but only two were living in 1910.

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>My grandfather Calvin married my grandmother Isabel
Olive Willis in 1915. The Oregon marriage index that I have access to does not
start until 1906 and the census says they were married for 7 years. Does anyone
out there have an ??? Edwards that was married to a Carrie F. ??? and at least
the name of one of the children was Frank J. Edwards? Short of personally
reading the census for every county in Oregon (the indexes (indices?) seem
to have missed my grandfather in 1900) I'm not sure of where to look next for
info on this Carrie F. We had heard rumors in the family that he had been
married to a Carrie prior to marrying Isabel in 1915 but the 1910 Census is the
first evidence that I have found that confirmed it. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The Carrie Francis Powell that shows up in the
Oregon Death Index is not the right Carrie. She was born in 1896 and died in
1918 and is buried in the Mulkey Cemetary in Eugene, Lane,
OR.</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
