<div>First, thanks for all the information and entertainment this
list brings. I've been "lurking" for a year or so, and especially enjoy
the little tips, links and websites. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>I'm going to start getting serious about this hobby, and have
been looking at the Family Tree software on Ebay. There are so many
versions, some with accompanying CDs, and I would really
appreciate recommendations. Are the newer versions different or truly
superior, or should I go for an older version that has more of the CD
reference guides (I'm leaning that direction currently, as I am trying
to avoid the subscriptions seemingly required for access to a lot of
the databases). Help! </div>
