Grant Co., OR 1906</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>I am looking for any information on Andrew L(ewis) Clearkin, b
Sept. 1861, Roanoke Co., VA, died ? probably in Grant Co., Oregon. He
purchased a land patent of 160 acres, 11/19/1906 in Grant Co. He lived
previously in Baker City from about 1898. Coordinates from the BLMGLO
site are as follows:</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>1. ALIQUOIT PARTS, N1/2NW; SEC/BLOCK, 15/ ; TWNSHIP, 12-S
; RANGE, 32E; WILLAMETTE MERIDIAN, COUNTY, GRANT STATE,
OREGON.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>2. HEADINGS AS ABOVE: SENW; 15/ ; 12-S ; 32-E ;
ETC.,</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>3. NESW; 15/ ; 12-S ; 32-E; ETC.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>BLM SERIAL #: ORLGAA 086662</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>Why there are three seperate coordinates for one patent are a
little confusing. Can anyone tell me just where this is in Grant, what town
might be, or was, close by?</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>I am assuming Andrew died in Grant but can find no
information re: date or burial site. His wife was named Mabel but I do not
know if he had children as I haven't been able to locate him in the 1910
census. Perhaps if I knew where in Grant he lived I would have better
luck.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>Thanks for any help you can give me.</STRONG></DIV>
